Alice Oakley-Jones Spanish Dance

Alice is a native Welsh dance professional working in London and overseas. Her love of dance began at her mother’s dance school in Llangollen. This is Alice’s 5th season with BFB. She previously performed the role of Caron in Tanio Draig and has danced in 3 Nutcracker productions in Mirlitons and Snowflakes. She is greatly looking forward to her debut in the Spanish dance this year.

Leo trained at London Vocational Ballet School for five years under the direction of Anna Du Boisson. He then continued his training at Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham. He also performed alongside Birmingham Royal Ballet for the 2022 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony. Upon graduating, Leo joined the Israeli Ballet, where he danced roles in Swan Lake, Cinderella, Balanchine’s Serenade, Don Quixote and The Nutcracker. This is his first time performing with the Brecon Festival Ballet.

Berwyn is another dancer who grew up in Brecon and had his early dance training at Mid-Wales Dance Academy. As a student, Berwyn performed in two productions by Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures at The Millenium Centre, Cardiff. Berwyn has been a core member of Brecon Festival Ballet since 2019 and, this year, reprises his roles of King Rat and the Arabian Dance.

Clara grew up in Brecon and had her early dance training at Mid-Wales Dance Academy. She is an experienced Contemporary Dancer and is also a specialist Belly Dancer; she brings these skills and her own choreography to our unique version of the Arabian Dance.

Harlan grew up in Brecon and had his early dance training at Mid-Wales Dance Academy. Harlan has had an international career as a Contemporary Dancer and brings his athleticism to Brecon Festival Ballet in the roles of the Soldier Doll and The Trepak!
